New York Cares Day 2008 - General Donation

On Saturday, October 18, I will be one of 8,000 New Yorkers giving my time and energy to paint a brighter future for New York City students. In just one day, we'll paint hundreds of colorful murals, add bright new line games to playgrounds, organize school libraries, plant flowers and perform other vital tasks to create great learning environments for students. New York Cares Day is an important fundraiser for New York Cares, the city's leading volunteer organization.

As part of New York Cares Day, I am helping to raise money in support of the day's work and the thousands of other projects New York Cares coordinates throughout the year. Every day of the year, New York Cares creates volunteer projects that meet pressing needs in our city -- reading to kids, preparing meals for the homeless, collecting and distributing coats and holiday gifts to those who would go without and so much more. This work would not be possible without financial support, so I am asking you to pledge donations in honor of my service on New York Cares Day, and help support the important work of New York Cares all year round.
