Be part of our annual effort to clean up city parks, gardens and public spaces on New York Cares Day Spring.
Get ready to plant, mulch, compost, paint, and more, as we work together on volunteer projects that improve our communal backyard. By the end of the day, 80 parks, community gardens and green spaces across the five boroughs will be spruced up and ready for the arrival of summer.
This year, we have a special focus on the city's waterfront. Volunteers will restore 10 miles of coastline to make these areas more sustainable for plant and animal life, and more accessible for city residents.
New York Cares Day Spring is also a fundraiser for New York Cares. With your help, we hope to raise funds to support our year-round volunteer programs which provide services to 400,000 New Yorkers in need.
