As part of New York Cares Day, I was originally intending to work with Greater New York Mensa, but apparently the official position of that organization is not to give a damn about anyone but its members. GNYM has provided no support whatsoever for this endeavor. It was not my intention to be disingenuous by calling it the "Greater New York Mensa" team when registering; I was led to believe I would have GNYM's support, and it was untrue, hence the new team name. Please do not let this dissuade you from donating and/or volunteering.
